Red Cross: Cold Temperatures Bring Higher Risk Of House Fires | Whotv.com

Its already been a busy month for the organization. In the last two weeks, the Red Cross says it has responded to more than 15 fires across the state. The Red Cross has a specially-trained disaster action team on standby. The volunteers provide food, shelter, and basic supplies to Iowans in need. This past weekend alone, they were called to help ten people in central Iowa after fire forced them from their homes. Well give out blankets, maybe clothes, maybe shoes.
