Among them are Thomas Lazieh, who served three terms as mayor and one on the City Council; and former state Rep. Kenneth A. Vaudreuil, who also served two terms on the City Council. The other two candidates are Lorraine Savard and Carlos Monzon. All four of them are Democrats. Lazieh, 61, who finished third in the 2012 general election for mayor, cited his political experience after serving as Central Falls mayor from 1990 until January of 1996 and a two-year term on the City Council. Im a lifelong resident of the city and Ive always been active, he said. I love the City of Central Falls, and I continue to attend all City Council meetings. Vaudreuil, 58, said that he is impressed with the job that Mayor James A. Diossa has done running the city. He would like to work with him and continue to see the struggling city move forward.
